The Relais Accademia offers five rooms, each equipped with an ensuite bathroom with shower, air conditioning, heating, and free Wi-Fi. All rooms are decorated in a unique style, three of which feature two balconies and a spacious terrace overlooking a quiet and well-maintained garden, while the remaining two face Via Ricasoli, a lively street during the day due to the adjacent museums but very quiet at night. The windows are soundproofed to ensure guests a peaceful rest. In the latter rooms, kitchen use can be requested (for an additional fee and subject to availability).
Upon arrival, you will receive the keys to be completely independent and all the instructions and advice for an easy visit to the city.
We are not equipped to provide an in-house meal service. However, upon request, we can offer a rate that includes breakfast. This breakfast can be enjoyed at a nearby bar, by presenting a voucher from us, typically from
8: 00 in the morning until the afternoon.

My name is Federico, I hold a degree in political science, and I've been managing the Relais Accademia since 2009. Even though it's not a business enterprise, I strive to make my guests feel comfortable during their stay in the city. With the help of my family, we do everything we can to ensure our facility is clean, welcoming, and relaxing for visitors. Fortunately, we often succeed in leaving them with fond memories of their stay. My aim is to be as unobtrusive as possible, allowing our guests plenty of independence and privacy. However, that doesn't mean I will hesitate to offer help, advice, or simply engage in a little chat. Courtesy and respect for personal space are part of my ethos.
We are located in the heart of Florence, precisely 200 meters from the Duomo and less than 100 meters from the Accademia Gallery, a world-renowned museum that houses Michelangelo's David. A short walk further and you will reach Piazza San Marco, a 15th-century square home to a convent and a church of the same name, and a hub for several main bus lines that are particularly convenient for moving from the center and reaching the outskirts, Artemio Franchi stadium, the sports and concert venue "Mandela Forum", as well as the Michelangelo square, the locations of Fiesole, Settignano and the Medici park of Villa Demidoff.
Our strategic location allows easy visits to the entire center, the main monuments and museums, and the shopping streets, cafes and restaurants of the Florentine center, as well as the nightlife spots. A 10-minute walk away is the Fortezza da Basso, the venue for numerous fairs and events, such as Pitti Uomo and the craft exhibition.
